The Small Sagittarius Star Cloud, or M24. In the Messier catalog, this object is unique—it is neither a nebula, a galaxy, nor a compact star cluster. Essentially, it is a multitude of stars from the Milky Way's spiral arm shining through galactic dust. The object's altitude above the horizon during the shoot was about 20 degrees. Taken from a high-rise balcony, in a red zone of light pollution.
