orion nebula at 910mm

i think this was gonna be some crazy idea that would waste hours of my life, but it actually worked and i still don't know why

i thought the guiding rate change would only be good for me in wide fields, not 910mm, but turns out i got 200 usable 10s iso 3200 pics

took the pics in 3 sets, a primary middle frame with originally 150 pics, filtered down to 139

slewed a little lower to get the bright stars under the nebula and to make sure i wasn't cutting off the outer edges of the nebula, 41 pics (i think i deleted a lot here)

another 20 pics above the nebula (again i think i deleted a lot here too, slewing after going to a target seems to be bad for tracking)
- while it definitely made the top of the nebula have a higher snr, it also created an obvious line in the mosaic, unfortunately siril did not 'equalize' this out
(equalize in '' since i have no idea if its the actual term, but pretty much i was just expecting for it to know how much of the data to used for a good result, it did not)

this image is the second final result a few days after the original, this time with more aggressive background removal and the use of the hdr multiscale script to preserve core details - the original kinda looks nicer but the core was completely blown out, and since this camera doesnt pick up ANY hydrogen, i thought i might aswell try to keep the core details at the very least so theres something to look at

extra- today i learned how to do flat frames, that is after i stacked andromeda once with and once without the flat frames i took for it, turns out ive been doing flats wrong
for god knows how long, i thought they were pretty much the same as darks where you use the same settings, only requiring even white lighting for the sensor at the same focus
- turns out its more histogram based, iso should still be the same, focus and camera rotation too, but exposure time needs to be adjusted so the histogram is in the middle
