Monkey Head Nebula - an emission nebula against the backdrop of the open star cluster (NGC2174/2175). Located in the constellation Orion at a distance of 6,400 light-years, with an integrated magnitude of about 7m and apparent dimensions of 40'×30'.
Result of six imaging sessions in March and April 2020.
Balcony in Kharkiv, red zone light pollution. EQ5 + HandMade motor, SW130650pds, Canon 550d, total of 700 frames at 30 seconds each, ISO 3200. Field of view 2.15 by 1.42 degrees, north is down.
