"PixInsight (without AI plugins)" - were the stars not separated or reduced?

Processing - none. Separating stars and putting them back in place is not processing in my context. The stars themselves were returned as a separate layer in Photoshop, processed using standard tools like histograms and color balances.
The processing concerns the main signal; no terminators or other AI artistry, only standard tools and filters that were used in processing even 10 years ago.

Star separation is part of the preparation process, just like calibration, alignment, and stacking.
