The transit of Venus across the Sun's disk on June 6, 2012.
This photo was taken eight years ago through a homemade 65mm diameter, 280mm focal length achromatic telescope. It was stopped down to 50mm with a solar filter. The image was captured with a digital compact camera through an MBSx8 eyepiece.
