17 clips were captured, each with about 9,000 frames, and on average 10% of the frames from each clip were used in the stacking. The seeing was very poor, with frames averaging 55–60% quality in AutoStakkert. But it’s been so long since I shot anything, and I really wanted to test the filter in action. Without it, I think the result would have been much noisier.
Great panorama! I can only recommend adjusting the gamma in Photoshop and adding contrast. I'd also like to know how you recorded the videos and at what resolution?
Thank you for the feedback! I intentionally toned down the contrast to hide the obvious flaws that are inevitable with the source material I had to work with.
I recorded the clips at 1920 x 1080 resolution to match the format with my camera's 6000 x 4000 sensor. I used a 3.2x digital zoom, so one camera pixel corresponds to one video pixel. My camera has a video recording mode that allows this.
