A clear example of the benefit of digital zoom on the P1000:
Top - a frame from video at 3000mm focal length, with 4x zoom,
Bottom - a fragment of a simple frame from video at 3000mm focal length, without zoom (heavy post-processing in an attempt to bring out details)
- It's just a matter of a successful frame from the video sequence, selective post-processing, and excessive sampling, yet it looks as if shot with different cameras.
