So, at the top it says the mosaic consists of 8 images, but at the bottom it says 500 out of 4000?

A mosaic of 4 images, each image is a stack of the best 500 frames out of 4000.

Thank you, Helen, I just saw the question! That's correct! It's an 8-shot panorama, and each shot is stacked from 500 frames taken from 4000-frame videos.
