My first remote session turned out to be quite challenging. I spent a long time preparing for the trip, double-checking all my equipment, updating the software on my old laptop... The latter turned out to be a terrible mistake—PHD2 kept crashing for no reason, the camera kept disconnecting, and I had to restart the INDI server at every hiccup. I managed to solve most of the problems somehow (switched the guide camera to 8-bit and set auto bandwidth), polar-aligned by drift, but unfortunately, Ekos PA didn't have enough performance.
Nervous and exhausted, by the end of the night I started capturing the Cocoon Nebula, but forgot to check the focus. I tried to salvage something from the material, even bought a PixInsight license, but of course, no miracle happened.
Congratulations on the remote imaging result. You just need to adjust the color balance, as the stars are looking pink.
I have a rule from years of experience: never update any software right before heading out for a session.
