On the left is my image taken with a 102mm refractor from my backyard in a red light pollution zone. On the right is Hubble. It's clear that my image is at the limit of resolution, while the Hubble's is a mosaic of high-resolution frames. However, a side-by-side comparison can give a beginner an idea of what objects are accessible to a small-aperture refractor.

Challenge accepted. Once it rises, I'll roll out the 280mm.
