The Tulip Nebula (Sh2-101) is an emission nebula belonging to the Cygnus Star Cloud region. It is located in the constellation Cygnus at a distance of approximately 6,000 to 8,000 light-years from Earth. It lies close to the microquasar Cygnus X-1, a well-known galactic source of X-ray radiation in the constellation Cygnus and the first candidate object for a black hole.
