Fun Facts !
This nebula derives its brightness from the young star HD 227018 visible in the tulip.

It is very close to Cygnus X-1, a micro-quasar and galactic X-ray source that was probably the first black hole discovered from such a source.

The shockwave of extremely hot gas escaping from the Tulip's center gives it its peculiar shape.
