A lunar panorama from April 21, 2021, stitched from 128 stacks. Blue areas indicate younger regions rich in the mineral ilmenite (FeTiO³), which contains iron, titanium, and oxygen. This mineral is highly valuable for future lunar expeditions, as modern technology can extract titanium and oxygen from it. Titanium is suitable for constructing lunar bases, while oxygen can serve as an oxidizer in rocket engines and for breathing.
